Linda,
As the Man said, "This is the place!" This is one of the locales to which
retirees from the Phoenix area flee in order to escape the searing heat.
The thermometer rarely breaks the triple digit barrier here. It was a bit
warmer than usual this summer - there were two or three days when it got
above 100 degrees in early July. Drier than usual, too, not only this
summer, but for the whole past year at least. But, the irrigation water
held out, and I made sure the rebloomers got their inch-a-week. Still no
rebloom. It's frustrating to hear that Dana in Lubbock under what sounds
like very similar conditions is wallowing in it (rebloom, that is).
Look, Donald, I used Linda's subject line instead of mine. You can stop
humming now.
