Yes, and they usually die during winter, but percentage of these losses is
very small in comparison of better percentage of spring germination.

There is no procedure for harvesting and no stratification at all. Only take
fresh undried seeds from pods when they start open and put seeds immediately
in moist soil. They will be stratified in the soil during winter.
Certainly the pattern of germination percentage may be different for your
conditions.
