Hi,
I just found this site and hope someone can help me out.
We bought a place this spring and it has oodles of wonderful purple
irises. They have been left without tending for I don't know how many
years. I do love these plants and now I need to know what to do with
them. I did give away a hoard of clumps this spring but didn't do
anything with the ones left. They do have to be moved and since major
landscaping has to be done here I have just left them in place until I
know where I want to put them.
A lot of the leaves have died off now and I want to know first if I
should leave them to die off naturally for the winter or can I cut them
back so they don't look so unsightly? Also what is the best time of the
year to move and divide the roots? There were not many blooms: I guess
because they need separating.
I will take any suggestions I can get.
Thank You, Mary
