This reminds me of many years ago when I was fussing around worrying
about break-ins and theft. When I asked my insurance agent at the local
Farm Bureau about insuring my computer, he looked at me like I had lost
my mind. He said, "Why would somebody steal it? No burglar in this
area would want it for themselves and who in the world could they sell
it to?"
Not to imply that nobody would want your book, Bob, it's just that I am
shaking my head at the idea that somebody would steal it, much less that
it would attract anybody at the cutting edge of breaking copy
protection. Similar to the concerns about "stealing" iris registration
data. Seems like nearly everybody who wants to use the online database
cheerfully pays for it.
