Not from Tucson, but Albuquerque.
I would think that now would be ideal for Tucson, with the temperatures
cooling off it should be a good time to get roots established and some
fall growth. Still at least two months before it is like to get really
cold, and really cold in Tucson isn't usually all that cold (it might drop
a little below freezing in late November, but often not till January -
depends somewhat on part of town too).
