>When is the peak season in Japan?
I understand that the peak season for Japanese irises in Japan is
normally
about mid June. Clarence Mahan in VA

We had an professor here holding a seminar about japanese gardens and
showing slides. She had been working some years in Japan.
She told us that:
The blooming of the cherry trees is a big event there, and they actully
follow the bloom in the news (now it has reached that town).
And as Japan is very long country from North to South, the blooming
period covers several months.
And it should be the same for the Iris!!
