The Checklist of Jordan Plants
(http://www.odu.edu/webroot/instr/sci/plant.nsf/pages/jordanchecklists) lists:
Paracaryum intermedium (Fresen.) Lipsky
Paracaryum rugulosum (DC.) Boiss.
The United Arab Emirates web site discusses P. intermedium as a 'tiny blue
borage' growing in the central Hajjar mountains near Hatta (Arabia?):
http://www.uaeinteract.com/uaeint_main/nature/plant/plt02.html
Arasi Lawrence Company, in their Weeds in Egypt, list both of these species:
http://www.arasi.freeservers.com/weedso+p.htm#p
I assume that your plant may be P. rugulosum, with nothing else to go on
but that it would seem NOT to be P. intermedium based upon the one citation
above. I am interested to see this in the trade - let me know if you find
that it becomes available locally!
