Speaking of Eryngiums, does anyone know of a N. American, preferably N.
Californian source for Eryngium bourgatii 'Picos'? There is the most
delicious photograph of this cultivar in the April Gardens Illustrated, but
they only list a UK source. I don't even know whether this is a good plant
for Mediterranean gardens, having never seen one in my 43 years of life in
California.
