Re: really busted
To add another to the pile.
In about 1968 when I was a Hort Student at Cal Poly in Pomona
California, 2 students were arrested-detained by Arcadia police for
being in possession of a flat of seedling Aralias. This was clearly a
mistake as the leaf color was all wrong. Finally corrected at 3:00 am by
a friendly Professor. I was very suprised I thought that the police,
judges and attorneys would know what they were looking at and make
proper ID of the dreaded Hemp. Then I got a traffic ticket and when it
was time to go to traffic court in nearby West Covina, I stood in line
for a long time in front of the judges lounge. When the door opened I
looked inside and at the window was a terrarium. Filled with 2+ ft tall
Marijuana seedlings. I guess no one had a clue what was in their lounge.
A few weeks later the stash was brought to the attention of a newspaper
reporter, photographed and caused embarrassment in the traffic court.
Here in So. Calif. there have been times when opium poppy or marijuana
histeria hits and one seedling or small plant growing in a garden or
crack in a pavement causes the police to go nuts. Its only a plant
guys.
