Setaria palmifolia
I recently came across this in a nursery and immediately struck by its
broad, leathery, heavily veined leaves, decided to order one. Has
anyone got any information about the plant? I'm not that wild about
grasses normally and can't remember coming across this species before.
I'm interested to know its native habitat, hardiness etc. My only
knowledge of the genus is that it contains several 'cereal crops' plus
a whole gamut of weedy grasses of little or no horticultural interest.
