If this was mentioned already please forgive me for its repitition. A
wonderful new book called MEDITERRANEAN A Cultural Landscape by Predrag
Matvejevic has been translated and published by UC Press. It is an amazing
collection of ideas, history, anything to do with the Mediterranean,
organized in a wonderful fashion. Plants are not its focus but when you read
it all the plants from that region take on a new meaning. bill grant,
