I've used this method to propagate Romneya coulteri seeds. Place the seeds
in a china or plastic dish --- not a metal dish. Pour white gas, the type
used in a Coleman lanterns, just enough to cover the seeds. Let the white
gas evaporate from the pan. The white gas breaks the dormancy of the seed.
One will not get 100% germination of the seeds, but give it a try.
Evaporate! Not light!
