Irish gardens

Dear Irish gardeners, 

I will be visiting Ireland at the beginning of August (15 days). I have a
couple of leaflets form the Tourist board about gardens to visit, but I am
afraid I cannot visit them all and therefore have to make a selection. Not
that 30 or more gardens scare me, but I  suppose I have to respect the
feelings of my  fellow traveller, non-gardener companion. Now, this is a
topic! How to deal with spouses-companions-lovers of whatever kind who do
not garden. I guess we all have wonderful stories to tell...

Back to my request, I know that there are some Irish gardeners in this list,
so, can you please suggest me the gardens I should not miss and perhaps, if
you are familiar with some nice hotel close to the gardens, also mention
it/them?
