Dear Diane and all,
Up here on the foothills of Mount Pentelis north of Athens there sure is plenty of the usual yellow, but the surprise this spring is the dense carpet of blue muscari (grape hyacinths)...simply everywhere.
Also, someone in the neighborhood has committed the crime (actual) of cutting down a mature Aleppo pine, and I counted the rings on the felled trunk: 85. Sorry to see the old fellow go. Karen V.Diane Whitehead wrote:
