Claviceps purpurea - the ergot fungus on rye which contains varoius ergoline
alkaloids like ergometrine, also found in seeds of Ipomea violacea and Rivea
corymbosa seeds. The drug LSD is a synthetic variant of this group of
indole alkaloids. This comes from the work of Richard Evans Schultes.
