Botanical pronunciation

Thanks Richard for the advice on 'agastache' - it was much appreciated.

Botanical pronunciation is one of my ongoing nightmares - I am learning 
but I am sure that I don't always get it 'right'!! 

Does anybody have any basic 'foolproof' rules for guidance?
