"Bargain" tree peony
Our local Trader Joe is selling tree peonies in 2 quart containers for $10.
They are described only by color (no cultivar name) and look healthy enough.
Since the tree peonies I've seen in the catalogues were always in the $50+
price range I've never considered trying them but now I am tempted! Does it
make sense or by getting unnamed seedlings I am setting myself for
disappointment? Also, where would you place it in the garden? I am aware of
its cultural requirements, the question is how to combine it with other
plantings? Please share your collective vast experience. Sophie
