Re: Asian Ladybug infestation
I asked my sister to remind me of the difference and if she knew of a
way to get rid of them. The suggestion was the vacuum cleaner. As to the
difference - "They overwinter in the attics and come out when it is
warm. They were brought to this country by someone in the USDA, because
they stay and don't migrate like our native ones, but guess what! This
means they overwinter in our houses! Haven't figured out what to do,
other than the "Hoover"!"
Nancy Robinson also responded with - "Just vacuum them up. There will
be more. The Asian has more spots than the native one but all eat
aphids but not in the house. I read where some people are allergic to
the bodies so vacuum them and put in the compost."
