This is not an appropriate forum to get into that sort of thing, so let's
just say that we don't think that a US dominated system would properly
reflect the subtle variations of our climate, while the USDA has no mandate
to do, or interest in that aspect of Canada's agriculture or gardening
industry. >>
Geez, Bob, we have subtle variations, too. I was thinking that we garden
right through the Northeast, where I am familiar, into Canada non-stop and we
might cooperate on something horticultural.
I am up there at least once and sometimes twice a year and the zone tags
always confuse me. However, for those not near the border, I will have to
say to Bob and all the other Canadians on list that we are aware that
Canadians do regard us, at times, as a giant enveloping individual
attempting to swallow up Canada or sometimes treat you as a little brother.
I know this is resented and I hope we do not appear that way on this list.
