Re: RE:deer

In WV the Dept. of Natural Resources is in charge of the deer population,
and no one at all seems to be in charge of the DNR. Despite steady
complaints by farmers, homeowners, nursery owners, gardeners, and drivers,
they make no serious effort to control the deer population. It is hard to
see how the money from hunting licenses outweighs the enormous losses to
farmers, homeowners, etc, not to mention insurance payments. In 1900 the
population of white tailed deer in the US was 500,000. Today it is over 30
million! They are nothing but large, very beautiful, hoofed rats.
