And here's another pathetic deer issue: in Wisconsin where we do have a big
deer hunt which has had no effect on the ever expanding over-crowded deer
population, the deer have contracted Chronic Wasting Disease (it is thought
from elk imported from the West). It is sadder to see diseased deer
staggering about and slowly starving to death than to see them shot.
