New zine for gardening

Being desperate becuase it was too cold and windy to work outside today
and tomorrow, I went to Barnes & Noble for some reading material. I
found a new magazine called Rebecca's Garden. This is it's first issue
and it is for spring season 1998. Maybe it will be a quarterly. I found
several good subjects in it.

Flowers for Cutting
A planting plan (no scale) of mostly perennials and some annuals for
cut flowers. 23 different plants. Although I didn't know alyssum was a
cut flower!

Instant Fountains
Easy to make fountains with stacked pots and even a stacked hypertufa
set. Also a description and illustration of different types of
fountains. ie: spill, spray, splash. Information I wish I had last week:
choose your pump last!

The prettiest rubber tire planter I ever saw! Page 83. It looks like a
painted folk planter. It doesn't even look like a tire. Hmmmm, I may
have to rethink tire planters. Maybe they aren't so tacky!

Growing Clematis, Step by Step
A good description on how the three types of clematis are pruned. And
when each type usually blooms so you don't need a label.

One page of websites for gardeners including her own:
				www.rebeccasgarden.com

She is suppose to have a tv show. Likely it is on HGTV or maybe only on
a few stations. I don't have it at home.
