I would like to grow a clematis against the front of my garage. However
there is no soil in this location. Is it possible to grow a clematis in
a container. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type would grow
best, how big the container should be or any other advice? thanks

You can grow them in containers- but it should be a deep one. I would say at
least sixteen inches. You also need to make sure the container is well mulched
in the winter.
