Marilyn,
I am wondering if the further south you go the more shade it can tolerate?
I do have P. 'Winchester Fanfare' on the east side of my home so it
receives morning sun until about noon and then it is in open shade. It is
blooming well and full of itself. I have others in full sun also, but this
one the foliage is wonderful planted in well drained bed with minimal
watering, except of course the first year it was planted. I am in the
Pacific Northwest also so further south may be able to take a bit more
shade. What do you think?
