Hi janice
I grow turtle head(chelone) and it is just now starting to open here in
southern Indiana. Mine is in partial shade until about noon. It sounds
as though Isabelle Hayes has grown them from seed, I usually divide mine
from small side plants, either in the falll or early spring. try some I
feel sure you will love them.
