Turtleheads are, indeed, wonderful shade plants, at least in my 
garden.  They grow in quite a bit of shade, and will increase over the 
years......mine bloomed early this year, at least the lighter pink 
ones did, and the deeper rose are just beginning.....I really like 
them!
