G'day, Barb --
From one Barb to another, I would like to offer a suggestion.
Digging or pulling the grass is temporary, at best.
There are 4 products that I know about that kill grass selectively so that you
can use it around annuals, perennials & shrubs.
1. Ortho Grass-B-Gone in a oz. spray bottle for small areas ($5).
2. Acme Grass-No-More over-the-top spray - comes in a 16 oz concentrate ($9)
that you use in a 1 gal. pump sprayer.
3. POAST
4. Over-the-Top by Fertilome
I purchased #1 & 2 at Farm & Fleet this summer & that's what I paid.
Both worked great!!!
#3 & 4 are available at your local garden centers but are very EXPENSIVE.
$20 to $30 but probably goes a lot farther than the Acme product.
Never heard of Acme.
They have been around much longer than Ortho & Fertilome but don't advertise.
I work full time now & have too many perennials to take care of without weed &
grass killers.
I hope you give one or more of these a try.
And hope they work as well for you as they do for me.

BTW - when I called F&F, they said they didn't have any such product. Had to
go there anyway -- & it was right there on the shelf with all the other
chemicals.
