moving dicentra redux

Guess I didn't make my actual question clear enough..and BTW, in my area,
in the mostly shady part of my garden, I still have dicentra 'alba' green
and blooming.
So, I know that eventually they will die back, am prepared for that, but
what I really wanted to know is if it OK to dig 'em up NOW?
I need to get this gift rose in the ground soon, and the place the
dicentra is in is proving to be a better location for a rose.
If I dig the dicentra now, I will repot them into gallon containers, keep
them watered and let them die back 'till next year, but I don't want to
kill 'em off by digging too early.
BTW, I'm a new list member, I am a member of the Hardy Plant Society of
Oregon, and also sub to the alpines and pacific northwest natives list.
Glad to have found a busy perennials list as HPSO is very new and very
unbusy..hard to get a question answered.
