Re: moving dicentra redux


I have moved Dicentra at this time of year from a friend's garden to my own.
Additionally this is the time of year I planted my D. exima "Luxuriant" .
Although this August has been relatively cool,  when I moved them it was in
the high 80's.  Move them in the evening, and water heavily.
Actually I move and transplant all sorts of perennials and roses all summer.
by following that simple rule.  You should probably give some supplementary
water for about the first two weeks, depending on your weather.
