A friend has a very large hardy mum that she planted last fall. It has
never bloomed, but has become very large. She did not trim it back in the
early summer, and it has no buds. Mums are just starting to bloom in this
area. Should she wait a while to split it up or can she do it now? Will it
bloom at all this season?
