Donna - Thank you for your reply. It restores my faith in my
grandmother's veracity. (She did come from a family who entertained
themselves by making up stories, sometimes, but now I believe her about
the roses.)
So shall I rush down to the store and buy some florist roses, to see if
I can root them? :-) I did order a brownish color Leonidas rose from
Wayside, and just saw what looked like them in a bouquet downtown.
(Maybe florists' roses dont work as well as the old garden grown ones?)
Oh well, I'm running out of sunny spots anyway.
