I see where you have received several suggestions in answer to your plea. may
I ad that favorites of mine are early primula such as P. veris and the Winter
Aconite. Both nice yellows and close to the ground. Both with bright green
foliage. Also the little Iris danfortae (sp?) is a cherry yellow and about 4
inches.
My Chinese witchhazel is in bloom now in a golden yellow and has been for
around a month now. They can be grown as either a shrub or small tree.
