Has anyone on this list struggled with Maidenhairs and then prevailed?? I
love those ferns, but have had nothing but bad experiences. They are not
"easy" as advertised!!

Gene they do like moist soils, I can find large colonies of them along
woodland pond edges, It is a great ferm. The reason it is called sensitive
fern is that when the first hint of frost occurs in the fall they turn brown
and disappear. The plant its self is tough and durable and can become weedy
if you have it in the right spot. I like them very much too.
right behind our native maiden hair fern.
Those attractive sporangial clusters make nice cutting material, I have had
some that are still looking good after 10 years.
