Now...exiting...lurk...mode....
Hello! I must admit to being a lurker on this list. My talents and garden
are VERY simple compared to most postings, so I've learned a lot already.
Hope you can tolerate a novice!
Question #1 - Linda Korth, you mentioned wintering over mandevilla and
others. How do you do that?
Question #2 - Did I miss any suggestions made on vines? I'd like to try
vines (other suggestions? tall grasses?) to add some privacy and disguise
our four foot chain link fence.
Question #3 - Any suggestions on grasses or plants for heavily traveled
areas (read: two dogs!)?
Question #4 - I planted some passalong vinca last year and it did
splendidly. In the spring, do I need to cut it back to promote
continued/new growth, or will it keep spreading?
Question #5 - If anyone else lives in Maryland, I'd love to discuss plant
swaps/trades. The generosity of others furnished virtually my entire garden
the first year, and now I'm beginning to have enough plants to share. :-D
Question #6 - How do I keep *&%!--#@ squirrels from eating my hyacinth
bulbs!?
Hope this isn't too elementary. Appreciate any advice. Many thanks! :-D
