This is what we always instruct our help to do as the leaves are much 
more sensitive to  RoundUp then the woody stems. Actually we think the 
instructions indicate this although we cannot get to them now. Take a 
look at http://www.roundup.com

Also we would not recommend exceeding the manufactures recommended mixing 
instructions. Roundup is pretty fool proof but it is never a good idea to 
go beyond specified limits. Play it safe with yourself and the 
environment.

We find it convenient to purchase RoundUp in pre-measured packets which 
can be mixed in the sprayer tank-much safer and less mess then any other 
way we have found for the average garden. No worry on how to dispose of 
the used containers either.
