I have heard that if you want to kill anything  just spread plastic over
in the hottest time of the year and leave it in place  it will kill it.
Have you tried that?   I don't know if this works, but it's worth a try

of course you could just bring it over to my house.  the one thing that
I don't have is a green thumb.  If I really want anything to live I have
my husband  plant it for me, then I know it will live.
