And here in the Cincinnati area the bluebirds are back and starting to eye the
bluebird boxes.  A couple early daffodils out in the open field have buds, my
snowdrops also survived the temperature dip last week, iris reticulata buds
are showing color, and everything seems 2-4 weeks early.  I have phlomis
leafing out, as well as aconitum and campanula.  In one spot the Asiatic
lilies have emerged about 5".  Some clematis are leafing out.  Kniphofia
(poker plant) has new leaves.  Winter aconites have been blooming for days.
Here's hoping winter does not return in March as it sometimes does.
