Need ideas for lining a walkway



I am looking for ideas for lining a 10 foot walkway from my porch to the
sidewalk.  I live in zone 6, and the area gets sun for most of the day.  I
am considering the following:

Perennial candytuft:  But I know it only blooms in early spring so I won't
have blooms for the rest of the season 

Liriope:  which blooms later in the summer but has beautiful foliage and I
could plant bulbs for early spring color.

I already have the candytuft seeds, and I figure the liriope plants might
be expensive for as many as I need.

Anyone have any comments about these two or any other recommendations.
