I can't tell you about electric shredders, ours is a Troy Built 8 HP. I
can tell you that regardless of the type you buy, you will need extra
blades.
Some things that we thought would be "soft" ended up ruining several
blades. One thing never to run threw a shredder is Sweat Briar, it will
shred and string around the blades and make one heck of a mess. If you
are going just to use rose clippings and yard waste, the electric should
be fine, if you have a long enough extension cord! I would however make
sure you talk to someone you know who has one first.
