Re: price and quality

I have a Royal Star Magnolia that I purchased probable 10 + years ago.
It is probable
9 ft. tall, and loaded with buds. This year, like ever year I'm in a
panic. For the past 4 to 5 days it has been in the 60's and 70's and
even before that it has been unseasonably warm.
What happens every year, we will have seveal day, maybe even a week or
so of very warm weather and my Royal Star Magnolia will bloom and it is
breath taking , then it will get very cold with frost and winter will
continue. If we have a heavy frost predicted I will try to cover it,
but it has grown so big it's almost impossible now. I just want to
cry.

I noticed today that almost all of my buttercups are peeking out of the
ground, and I noticed several has buds on them, and we still have Feb.
and March yet, and those are usually our worse months in this area.
This happened last year. I had Golden Bells (Forsythia) and Buttercups,
and of course my Royal Star Magnolia in bloom, when it suddenly turned
very cold with heavy frost, however the evening before, with myself and
all of my neighbors, we picked all that we could, but a lot of them were
lost. very upsetting
