Pat,
If you are having trouble keeping the blooms on Tricyrtis due to late
bloom period, try some of the earlier blooming cultivars and species. First
toadlily to bloom is the T. latifolia. Just completed blooms period here.
Nice quiet yellow with brown spots. After that comes the T. dilatata in
August with light pink blooms speckled with purple.
As we all get drawn into first and last frost dates due to global
warming, we may end up with gardens blooming about 11 months of the year...
