Re: Aromatic Shade Plants

I don't know where you live, so can't speak to hardiness, etc., but
several of the hostas have fragrant flowers, although you couldn't say
the plant as a whole was aromatic. There's also Cardiocrinums and
Lily of the Valley - again, these have fragrant flowers. Some violas
are said to be fragrant, but apparently only for one sniff! I have to
admit that most of my aromatic plants are sun lovers. The most
wonderful are the Tagetes shrubs. I've seen them growing under trees
in the Bay Area, so I know they'll take some shade. Avril, Hercules,

I am working on a shade garden in my front yard. I would like to include
some aromatic plants as I walk past it every day on the way to my car.

Any ideas?
