Daylilies are perfect after the tulips and daffs. Don't plant them directly
over the bulbs though because when it comes time to dig either the bulbs or
the daylilies, you won't be able to get one without disturbing the other. The
the daylily foliage will get tall about the time the daff/tulip foliage is
withering, and you can't beat the colors available in modern daylilies. Now
if only someone would clone one of the marvelous purple or red daylilies with
the white picotee edge and sell it for under $25.
