August 98 'Flower and Garden' magazine has a 50% off advertisement on pg.
40.
Only 30 varieties but worth a look. 68 pg. catalog is $3.00 or free with
order.
They have 50% off ads in a lot of garden mags late spring and early summer.
Different selections in different mags at same time.
OOPS! Have already ordered but there are some Mid-Late in this ad so will
order some more.
Anything to extend the season. Here in N.W. Oklahoma we have had over a
month with highs in the 95 to 105 F. and night lows in the mid 70's if
we're lucky. Finally 1.8 inches of rain this week. The first on my garden
since in May. Have had water running day & night for weeks but everything
has suffered. Daylillies seem to be surviving best. Everything else
bloomed up to a month early ( Scabiosa 'Pink Mist' started in Feb.). Sedum
'Autumn Joy' have nearly fully formed flower heads already.
