I read somewhere that you are supposed to let those amaryllis grow in the
summer time to build up their bulbs, then cut them back in October and let
them rest in a cool dark place. In late November, bring them out again and
they might flower. I have mine outside in pots, but I don't know if this plan
works yet. They do well in full sun from the appearance of their leaves.
