July gardens

Hi All,
    I am seeing all kinds of groupings and plants that I don't like in my
gardens, as well. The only thing stopping me from re-arranging is the
sultry heat that we are having this week. It is so hard to wait until late
September or October, the prime time around here to plant and move, and I
probably won't be able to wait that long. But, I see things crowded, new
plants this year that I don't like, areas that we thought were more shade
and turned out to get more sun than we thought, and on and on. I would like
to ask a question....what do you consider an area that gets western sun from
about 3 on in the afternoon...would that be part sun or full sun? I am in
the piedmont section of NC, zone 7b.

Gaily in the sunny beam;
List'ning to the wild birds singing,
By a falling crystal stream....~Robert Burns
