Re: July gardens- now yellow aconitum

Hello Susan,
Not very yellow... more of a cream in my book with yellow overtones.
There may be a good clean lemon yellow out there in the Aconitums, but I am
not aware of one. Perhaps someone else will know than I more on this one.
The catalogs always show them more yellow than they actually are in reality.
A. lamarckii, or the Wolfsbane, is a pale yellow or sometimes called soft
sulfur yellow. There is also A. septentrionale Ivorine which has creamy
white spires.... but it also has great foliage and I like it in my garden.
Getting ready to bloom in a couple of weeks.
