stachys

I don't know the cultivar name, but I have the stachys that doesn't
bloom. It stays about 6 inches high all summer. It spreads nicely, but
does produce that *matt* of dead stuff in the areas that are dryer
(sunny areas under the eaves). I started with one plant three years
ago, and now I have divided and moved it to over 20 different places in
my gardens. It's a keeper!
