RE: mystery weed


Would I have to paint it?  I couldn't cut the stalk and spray it?

Have you seen the book "Weeds of the West"?  It's a weed picture ID book.
There is one in the HPSO library you could peruse, but I suppose the
resource people at Portland Nursery probably already looked in that book.
Have you tried painting a cut stalk with weed killer?  That  works even for
deadly nightshade - a horrible weed.
