> Some of us still read our mail on the server (using Pine)!
Hi Denise,
Although most people here won't care, as a hardcore UNIX user I can
sympathize. It's one of the reasons that I hate email attachments;
I can't see them on a text-based mailer!
If we don't end up adding a Subject: tag (I'm still undecided), you
can probably add this on your end through a UNIX program called
procmail.
If you create a file called .procmailrc in your home directory that
contains these lines
:0 fhw
* ^From owner-perennials@hort\.net
* ^Subject:\/.*
| formail -I "Subject: [P] $MATCH"
it will prepend a [P] in the subject of every mail from the perennials
list for you.
You can also use procmail to split the messages into separate mailboxes,
make backup copies, etc.
